Scott,

Thanks for the awesome presentation at our New England VMware User's Group. I was completely unaware of the EcoShell and its capabilities, so imagine my delight at finding out this was built and ready to use... for free!

I've already mailed out a vReport on old snapshots that need cleaning up. Thanks for providing an essential admin tool and for joining us in Maine!

Richard,

Can you verify that you created the "View Port Groups" script under Links, and not accidentally under "Actions"? I've tested this from a few systems and cannot get the behavior you are experiencing. If everything looks good there, can you post in the forums? Easier to communicate there.

When I use the code in Step 3 - Viewing Port Groups, it returns no data and it shows me the results of the vSwitches function as explained in part 1... Any idea what's going wrong?

You forgot to mention the pre-requisite for installing Quest PowerShell Commands for Active Directory is MS .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
And installing the latter will make an irreversible important security change in Firefox without user's knowledge or consent!

Aaron,

We have already started to think about extending out a more integrated "Report Builder" into the product, in which you will be able to save report templates and have access to even MORE data. This was a Step 1 to simply give more flexibility in the data output. Please provide feedback and recommendations in the forum. We watch it religiously.

This is great. One question, If I make changes to what i want to include in a report, how can i save this view? There are so many options , that sometimes i forget what i selected when i generate a report. If we could add this functionality, it would be GREAT!!!

Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see this product evolve over time into a Truly Top Notch management product (not that it isn't already, but there is so much potential!!!!)

thanks
